Getting out, Staying out
Prisoners within six months of their earliest release date (parole or end of sentence) will be offered the opportunity to engage with Pivot to assist in the development of a transitional plan. Participation is voluntary but most prisoners take up the opportunity.
In developing the plan, we look at the needs of the client and what supports they have in the community.
The areas of need we discuss are:
• Accommodation
• Employment and Education
• Alcohol and Other Drugs
• Legal
• Financial
• Physical Health
• Mental Health
• Relationships
• Disability
Post release services will also be offered for a period for up to 12 months for any person who is released from prison and lives in the Great Southern Region, with outreach service delivered as far as Katanning
