Our Board
The current Board members are:
CHAIRPERSON
Marcelle has over 20 years in the Health and Community Services sector. Currently Marcelle is working part time as a senior mental health professional with Great Southern Mental Health.
Previously she was a manager in the Great Southern Health Executive team responsible for 6 hospitals, population, community and mental health services.
SECRETARY
Aaron has a Masters in International Relations and is currently completing a law degree. Aaron has had previous experience as a strategic planner and performance analyst at the Western Australia Police Force. He also has extensive experience working with the Department of Corrective Services.
TREASURER
Daniel is the General Manager of a local business specialising in food distribution servicing the Great Southern hospitality community and general public. With a Bachelor of Commerce and experience in the accounting industry Daniel delivers experience in financial management and business strategy.
DEPUTY-CHAIRPERSON
Matthew has more than 25 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer and company secretary. Matthew has a strong corporate governance background and has worked for a number of companies, including Alcoa, Bankwest, CBA and Shell. Having just moved to Albany he is now a Special Counsel with the HHG Legal Group. Matthew is also a board member of a number of other Albany volunteer organisations.
BOARD MEMBER
Shani is a General Practitioner, FRACGP, with 10 years experience in clinical practice. She is also a GP medical educator with a strong interest in education and helping patients who have alcohol and other drug issues. Shani has a diploma in child health and is currently finishing a diploma in women's health. She is driven to increase equity and access to health provision for all patients, which she brings to her board role with Pivot.
BOARD MEMBER
Will Piercey joined the Committee of Management in 2023. He has worked with the Cooperative Bulk Handling Group for 18 years and is currently the General Manager of the Albany Zone overseeing the storage, handling, and export of the Western Australian grain crop within that zone.
He has a strong interest in the sustainability of regional communities, having lived and worked across various regional areas.
BOARD MEMBER
Joe Paradza is an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with over 18 years of dedicated experience in patient-centered care. He has a BSc (hons) in Occupational Therapy from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Management. Joe has a proven track record of leadership and clinical expertise. He has also played a key role in the transition of clients to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and has extensive experience in assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation for individuals with various conditions. Joe is passionate about making a positive impact in a senior role and is skilled in strategic planning, evidence-based practice, and advocacy.
Our Staff
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ian commenced in March 2016 and in that time has realigned the organisation to place it on a sustainable and professional platform.
Ian has a Bachelor of Business (RMIT) and has an Advanced Diploma in Management, he has worked nationally and internationally on business development and strategic planning.
He brings to the organisation strengths in governance, policy and strategy development.
MANAGER - NDIS
Robina has 7 years of experience working with disability in government and non-government organisations and over 14 years working in community services.
Robina commenced with Pivot in January 2022 as part of the NDIS team.
MANAGER - REINTEGRATION
Siobhain joined the organisation as a case worker and is now in the role of Manager Reintegration. Siobhain has had previous experience working with government and in the employment sector.
